Inspiring Walk in Shower Ideas

Inspiring Walk in Shower Ideas

When remodeling your bathroom from a design standpoint as well as from a functional standpoint, a walk-in shower is a great way to go. A sense of openness and simplicity is created when incorporating a walk in shower.

Now Trending in Bathrooms

It wouldn’t be a new year without seeing new design trends pop up. Most important, you should always go with what you love and with what will make you happy. But it never hurts to see what is “in” in the design world. From floating vanities, to tiled ceilings, to door-less showers, there is so much opportunity for the perfect design in your new remodeled bathroom.

The Fun Part…Design Options!

There are so many design options for your walk in shower. Whether you like sweet and simple or bold and daring, the perfect tile, glass, plumbing fixtures, etc. are out there for you. With so many options out there, it may feel overwhelming to some. But don’t worry, the Kinetic Kitchen & Bath team is here to help and guide you with each decision.

Tiles

Tiles come in so many shapes, sizes and colors. Some people enjoy a simple color palette, using whites or greys. Other people are going for more of a bold look. No matter which direction you go, the opportunities are endless for the tile design in your walk in shower. My favorite thing about tile is that you can bring in a texture or pattern. You can use one tile style, or two, or three. You can even carry the tile up onto the ceiling. With all of the options out there, the key is to just not over do it. Balance is key.

Shower Door

The shower door can act as a statement piece or it can be clean and simple. Very trendy right now is the gridscape shower door. With a black/ bronze finish frame, the door is a true statement. Another popular door is the frameless glass shower door which creates a minimalist feel. Transparent glass is a great  way to go to show off the beautiful tiles used in the shower, making it a piece of art. Following the new trends in shower doors is a curbless shower. A curbless shower eliminates the ledge, which then creates a seamless transition. It is always a good idea to go with a linear floor drain in this case so that the drain is not obvious, and blends in with the floor. If you desire to go with a universal design you can create a shower with no door.

Are you looking to remodel your bathroom? Following are some design ideas to get you thinking about your style and which design features you should incorporate that will catch your eye and make for a functional space.
